THE EMOTIONAL PART OF BLOOD SUGAR TESTING
When the numbers show your levels are out of range, it will trigger a couple emotional responses. You are able to feel frustrated, angry, depressed, confused or upset. If this happens, remind yourself that checking your blood sugar results let you track how well your diabetes care is working.
You need to let your doctor know what your blood sugar results are. Then he can adjust your insulin or blood sugar pill. But first what you really need to look at is how your are eating.
Unless your blood sugar is low, juice really needs to be eliminated from your diet. It is better to drink water and eat the fruit instead. Just look at your plate and if there are alot of bread, rice, starches and little protein, you may want to adjust to more protein and less carbohydrates. The exception is people on dialysis. There diet cannot contain a lot of protein.
